David Daniel’s fresh take on Oedipus played with life’s dualities on a grand scale. The text soared like an opera to tragic, emotional heights. In the chorus, it also stabbed with dry humor, acerbic wit, dark observation, and horrific realization. With a stark, bleak world before them, the characters - and their clothes - had no choice but to match the stakes at hand: Be Larger Than Life.
